Alan Karchmer’s life in photography began while studying architecture at Tulane University where he received his Masters in Architecture. His work draws on the foundation of his education to create photographs that speak with an authoritative sense of space, form, texture, and light.
Karchmer’s clients include winners of The AIA Gold Medal and Firm of the Year, RIBA Royal Gold Medal, and Pritzker Prize. His archive of is a promised gift to the National Building Museum.
